I'm thinking of getting a second SATA hard drive for my computer. Other
than connecting the SATA ribbon connector to the computer's SATA header
on one end and the hard drive on the other, connecting the power
connector and screwing the drive into the proper bay, is there anything
    else I need to do?

Do I need to do something in the BIOS to get the computer to recognize
the drive? I think I know how to Partition and Format the drive.

    Thanks for any help,

    David A.

The BIOS should automatically recognize the drive. Check the BIOS to make sure it is configured to boot from the old drive. All you should have to do is format the new drive.

Thank you. That's what I was hoping.
