new video card showing no color

    I have windows XP [service pack 2], a 2800 AMD Athlon by HP, 512 RAM

    I recently bought a XFX PVT42KUDE3 Geforce 6800XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card

    From what I can figure it is in mid-process of being installed, the issues are why do I have no color in my screen and why won't my computer accept the hardware fully, like, when I was trying to fully install it, the install program noted something about having a legit logo or something?

    I would greatly appreciate your help,
