NF7-S hangs/hesitates repeatedly with sound activated...

I've got TWO NF7-S systems and they BOTH hesitate for a second or two at a time at a rate of maybe two or three per minute. Changed power supplies, memory, even the motherboard to a GigaByte GA-7N400 Pro2 and the problem persists. What could possibly be wrong? I've tried the internal sound and my Diamond MX300 & MX400 cards, all hesitate. I'm totally lost. Please help!!
