NIC light?

I have a KT7-Raid, and I noticed that there is always a link between my hub and the NIC (both sides indicators are lit), even when the PC is shutdown. I guess it has to do with "wake on lan".

Can I switch that feature off somehow?

that would be because when the system shuts down, unless you switch off the power supply at the rocker switch or otherwise remove AC power to the system, 5 volts standby power is available to the system for allowing the keyboard, mouse or LAN or other card to wake the system. it isn't a problem or using any power to speak of so unless you want to shut the system *all* the way off by way of removing AC or switching off the PS, then ignore it.
