No Display On Monitor in the Middle of Formatting But The CPU Still Running..Help!!

i really love that CPU..and i'm new ti this all kind of stuff like this..please help me..before this,my cpu doing well.but i wanted to use window 7 ultimate..then i format it..but in the middle of expanding window files(formatting),the monitor lost signal..but the wierd one is th CPU is still running..why is this happen??
