The temperature of the NorthBridge chip on my KT3 Ultra2 reaches 42c
at full load whilst the CPU is 48c at full load. I know that the CPU
temperature isn't bad but am slightly worried about the 42c of the
NorthBridge chip (cooled by standard passive heatsink). Is this
temperature acceptable and what is the maximum temperature it is
allowed to go up to ? My system runs perfect and never crashes. I
don't really want to add a fan on the chip as my system is near silent
(<20dBa) at the moment. Any advise is welcome.
