I have used the spam filter applications in both Norton Internet Security
Suite and Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite, I find that the Zone Alarm
spam filter is more effective in blocking Spam. Does anyone know of a good
stand alone Spam Filter application/program that works on both Outlook and
    Outlook Express?

    TIA.

    POPFile is my favorite: <http://popfile.sourceforge.net/>

Once it's trained it becomes *extremely* accurate.

  5. At the server level I find spamassasin works great. It has different
levels of detection which may be set individually for each account.
There's a reasonably good chance your mail server runs spamassasin, and
if so you might want to check if you can adjust it's sensitivity.

thanks for all the spam filter program suggestions, I ended purchasing this
    program
    Cloudmark Desktop AntiSpam
    http://www.cloudmark.com/landing/?prod=safetybar&src=dlppd&cid=ppdcd20051201
It works better than any of the others that I tested.
