those temps are not bad at all. my system with the Zalman 7000CU runs about 45 to 47 at idle and around 59 at max load. as for the thermal grease, you only need a thin film that will then fill in the microscopic highs and lows in the top of the cpu and the surface of the heat sink.

where, in that page you posted a link to, did you see a statement that your CPU is running too warm? I saw a reference to ambient temperatures and then I saw references to temps like 75 C. please explain.

well its was another replyer not you that told me my temp was way too hi...since i installed the fans in my case its lower now:-) when render a heavy 3D scene it goes from 48-50 up to 67-70 normal? if i buy a very good cooler for my cpu how mutch can i expect from it? %??? please tell me i wanna run this fast and cool! regards Tommy "TomG" skrev i meddelandet

methinks we have been through this before with you. no one can tell you how much cooler your system will run with a particular heat sink as that depends on ambient temperatures in the room, the case, etc.

the Zalman 7000cu is a good cooler but then we have told you that many times. no, we can't tell you if it will clear the cooler you already glued to your NB.
