    Dear all,
I need to know about the availability of open source compilers, with
support for compiling for VLIW & SIMD instruction set of commercially
    available DSP processors
I am trying to create some benchmarks of image/video processing
    algorithms in different processor architectures

    Regards,
    Swami

.... plus, for image and video applications, the function is generally
supported by external hardware. All this stuff is done by ASSPs now.
