Operating system problems?

Discussion in 'AMD Overclocking' started by George Fleagle, Aug 20, 2004.

  1. I need to build a good highspeed system to record TV & Video.
I've been getting by with a good dependable 500Mhz AMD
system and the ATI-TV tuner card only works with WIN-ME
It's done a good job for a lot of years and I don't want to buy
a new one when this one works.

My question is will a system using a AMD-2800+- processor
and motherboard have problems running WIN-ME? With all
the new processors and motherboards being built for WIN-XP
powered computers I want to avoid problems before they happen.

MB's and processors aren't built for OS's. It's the other way around. I
don't run windows very often, but I do have W98 installed on my AMD64
system and it works fine. There's also other OS's that will record TV with
your card, but that's another story.
