What's the general lineage between these two machines? Years sold etc?

Any know issues with either? The 780 has a Pentium E5800 CPU and
800MHz FSB, and the XE has a Core 2 Duo E7400 CPU and 1066MHz FSB.
What can one expect for performance running Win7 Pro 32 bit?

I need something quick to take on the road.

The XE will run faster, but either one should be just fine to run 32-
bit Win 7 with at least 2GB memory, preferably 3GB... Ben Myers
