Just got the new box yesterday, p4 3gig, p4c800 deluxe, 1gig ram and ATI
9800 - with a new Seagate SATA 120 gig dirve. The shop formated the SATA 120
in NTFS (even after my request to do it in FAT32) and is using it as my boot
drive (IDE 3 master - I believe). I tried installing my ATA100 drives
(FAT32) in the Primary IDE two slots (Secondary IDE cd & dvd drives work
ok). The only thing that works with the SATA boot drive is to install only
one ATA100 drive as a slave in the Primary IDE. The BIOS (v1008) kicks out
any others I try and occasionally comes up with a blue screen disk error. I
cant even plug in my external USB2 hard drive unless it and the SATA boot
drives are the only drives installed.
Is this a problem with the file system (NTFS and FAT32 on the same
machine) - or does it sound like a hardware controller problem. Ive install
all the updates from ASUS with no luck.
    Please help
    Thanks
