P5B Fan Help

So I've got my P5B installed and I'm at the point where I need to install the fans. Unfortunately the manual isn't very clear on what's what. For example, I have determined that the "CHA_FANs" are for the chassis fans, but are the three pins used for controlling speed or providing power? Also, there's a PWR_FAN and CPU_FAN. What do these do? My CPU fan has a three-pin connector that will fit the PWR_FAN, but the CPU_FAN is a 4-pin (not Molex, but the other kind) connector. Argh!
