P5W DH Deluxe memory detection issue

    Hi !

    I am facing a common problem with my Asus P5W DH Deluxe!
    I have a B3 Q6600 and 2*1GB DDR2 800 A-Data Vitesta Extreme.

    If i leave all options on Auto in BIOS, the memory will be detected as PC 5300 - 667 Mhz ! If i manually set DDR2 800 and proper timings (in my case 4-4-4-12) the memory is seen corectly, as PC 6400 - 800 Mhz.

    My question is, why the BIOS detects my memory as 667 Mhz when auto settings are on ? What is the logic? Because at 667 Mhz i should have a 333 Mhz bus, but Q6600's bus it at 266. So BIOS should detect memory as PC 4200 memory, not PC 5300,no ?

    Please, enlighten me, because i can not understand in any way why memory is detected as PC 5300 !
