I have :
mainboard Abit KT7a
pross Athlon 1GHz
graphic creative Geforce2 200mx
system W2000

It's been runnig stable for one year... then I made the mistake to update all the drivers expecting to get better performance (especially while I'm playing). So I've updated the chipset (via kt133), the mainboard bios, and now I get some random stop while I play counter-strike (grrrrrr). And I've never been able to install the new nvidia drivers on my graphic card: it just wouldn't work (widows says the peripheral couldn't start).... so I'm stuck with the original drivers

Anybody have any suggestion on how to get it to work with updated drivers? I've been looking all over internet without finding any clue

The first driver I would try is go back to the VIA's 4.38's {recommended} and then try updated video drivers.

Check all your bios settings. Something may have gotten reset when you updated. Some people have had problems with MX cards on that board. There's a good FAQ with troubleshooting help at http://www.sudhian.com/showfaqs.cfm?fid=2
