PCI SB16 compatible sound card

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by Vasko Altiparmakov, Jun 18, 2004.

  1. greetings

i am looking for a PCI simple and cheap Sound Blaster 16 or PRO
compatible sound card, preferable one that will not require a driver
under ms-dos exept seting the blaster system variable as apropriate.
i need it to play old dos games and demoes. My motherboard has zer0
ISA slots, and the AC97 support is for win9x+ irq11 only. i have an
ISA SB Vibra16 and i need something similar and probably the same
    quality as the old one.

please send any suggestions about brand and model that can be obtained
on the market this days. anything less than 40$ is acceptable.

    thanks
