Hey, I have a KX&-333r motherboard and I really need to know the PCI slot speeds, I am a Cinematographer and I edit video on my computer, and I have a Pinnalce breakout box card that fits into my PCI slots, so I need to know which one is the fastest one so I can put my card in it for maximum performance...

The KX7-333R has 6 PCI-slots.
Theoretically, they are all the same speed, 133 MB/s maximum throughput rate. Some of them might share an IRQ with another slot, but if that other slot is empty, then it is not an issue.

All your PCI slots have a data tranfer bandwidth that far exceeds video bandwidth, so it really makes no difference (execept that you should pick a slot that supports bus-mastering, I think. The PCI standards require a total of FOUR IRQ lines to be shared among the PCI slots implemented in your system, so with a loaded system you WILL have to share IRQ's to some extent. This is not a problem because the OS handles allocation, and, in fact, you really don't have much of a choice with Windows NT, 2000, and XP. Also, the only penalty for sharing is the added time of servicing an IRQ identity check, only a few extra nanoseconds extra these days, or about 1/(63500 ns/8 ns) = ~ 0.0125% of the length of a NTSC horizontal line. A digitized NTSC horizontal line (uncompressed) likely requires far less than 4 Kbytes, which is a good thing, otherwise the PCI total bandwidth, shared between hard drives, removable media drives, and PCI cards would be a problem. If you are working with higher bandwidth video then there are motherboards with 64-bit,66 MHz PCI slots which quadruple the PCI bandwidth.
