Pentium3 socket 370 sur Asus P3BF avec adaptateur (slot one-socket 370)

  1. Bonjour,

  2. That could be an old PPGA-only adapter for Mendocino Celerons only - and
that wouldn't work with your processor, thus your problem. An adapter
compatible with Coppermines would have to have at least a "Celeron <->
Coppermine" jumper, and even then not all of them would be suited:

You'll probably need another slot adapter suitable for Coppermines.
(Tualatin adapters tend to support Coppermines as well, at least the
    Slot-T does.)

  3. Hi Perriot!

I have a similar problem. In my Case I would probably need a BIOS
    Update. Because the Board (P2B 1.02 with a P2/350 - throwout of a BANK)
is outfitted with an older BIOS, of course. After a BIOS Update the
Cu800EB/133 should work fine, also with 133MHz FSB.
All my older P2 CPU´s are sold or built in :-(.... I ought to take my
P2Xeon/300 out of the P3B-F and install it in the P2B for making a BIOS
Update, to get this 800EB workin, making a nice gamestation with an
Océd GeForce DDR 256 (89MHz AGP).... I hope the P2B is stable at
    133MHz. Chances are bad.

Otherwise, it could be that my P2B is plain broken and no BIOS Update
    would help.

But you could try a smaller Pentium (350, 400, 550) just to see if your
Motherboard is working. Start with 100MHz FSB... don´t forget to set
the AGP Jumper to 2:3. Or 1:1 with FSB66.
