Same basic answer as in the other thread. Both are certified by Winbond at 5ns or PC3200, both are also used in ram rated much faster. BH5 will hold tighter timings, CH5 will clock higher. ...

I will add that in some early Springdale/Canterwood boards (IS7, IC7) some brands of CH caused problems that have since been ironed out with bios updates.
BH is no longer being manufactured and is getting harder to find. Mushkin bought a bunch to sell as Level II Black PC3500. Buffalo Tech still sells it as PC3700.
CH is pretty common, but few memory makers actually tell you what's under the heatspreaders anyway.
Which you pick depends on what you want to do.
Overclocking 1:1 up to 225-250 mhz and don't mind CAS 3? Get CH.
Overclocking 5:4 up to 210-230 mhz at CAS 2 or 2.5? Get BH, if you can find it.
I've seen some pretty good threads on OC results and performance comparisons in the forums at www.anandtech.com and www.forum.abit-usa.com and lots of ram reviews at www.amdboard.com
Thanks Skid, just puts one more of my questions to bed, I was frustrated because I could'nt find any tech/non-tech data on it!

TomG,
Fair comment mate, I was just flying my plane round the USENET on a quiet Sunday morning and he came in on the blind side right outta the sun and took a 'pop' at me, it's instinctive, I shot back, I survive if I kill him! ... simple ..
I still use a 12 year old 'gravity', excellent *.dbf, but does NOT like the re-load [header(s)], I prolly owe him an apology so I'll have a look in 'agent' sometime this week. If I'm out of order I'll stand tall and ...
