Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[SIZE="4"][/SIZE]i have a compaq presario desktop computer millinium edition, and when i start it up i can get as far as the page before the login, but that is as far as it will go. so i cannot get to the menu to get to ms dos. i need to know how to get to ms dos without using the menu option. (like a back way) also, if you know how to format a hard drive using ms dos or any other way that doesn't require using the menu option i would REALLY appreciate it. sincerely, Jmac
