My power jack on my mother bored is broken. Does any one have a
creative solution to repair that. It broke cleanly off with no damage
to the bored I believe the stress of the wire caused the two or three
prongs that soldered it in to come off. Soldering the componed back on
is not an option because the metal prongs broke and I lost it. Is it
possible to replace the componet or solder the wires from the charger
directly in by cutting the end off the charger or should I just scrap
    it.

No if it is a standard jack, you can get one anywhere. If it is one of a
kind thing, just wire the power supply directly and/or add a quick
    disconnect plug. No big deal.
