Presario 1800T Laptop woes

    I have a Presarion1800T laptop, model 18XL4W. I got it in 2000. I have several things I need help with.

    1. It overheats and locks up. I need to get some instructions on taking it apart and cleaning it.
    2. It looks like the RAM maxes out at 320M. Is there a way I can upgrade the RAM to a gig or two?
    3. I moved recently and can't find the CD for Windows 2000 Pro. I have the program serial number. Can I go to Windows and get a replacment copy? Don't really want to go to Vista. It also locks up when it tries to install some of the Windows updates (Direct X and Media Player). Not sure if it's the overheating thing or something more sinister.

    Any info would be helpfull. It's an older computer and I don't want to dump a lot of money into it at the repair shop if I can fix it myself.
