Problem with 8RDA3+

Discussion in 'Epox' started by Andreas Schwartmann, Oct 4, 2003.

  1. Today I got myself a EP-8RDA3+ to go with my XP 2700+ and 2x512 MB
    PC-400 memory.

I have experienced some strange problem when the system starts up.
Sometimes it just hangs after stating that I have an Athlon XP 2700+. It
just freezes at that point. When I hit DEL to get into BIOS setup, I get
a black screen with a blue stripe at the bottom. When I reset or
restart, it sometimes works, it sometimes does not.

    Is this a common issue?

    I have a 400 watt power supply.

    Any ideas?
    Andreas

Please keep posts about this in one thread.

Did you 'clear the CMOS' as the first thing to do after switch-on?
Have you got any USB devices plugged in?

Usually a sign of excess voltage and/or FSB.
