Processor Upgrade Options

I currently have a Gateway Select 1100 computer with an AMD Athlon 1.1 GHz processor. I seem to be able to find a lot of information about the motherboard, but I can't seem to find accurate information when it comes to upgrading the processor. Some sites tell you somethings and other sites tell you something else. Does anybody know exactly what kind of AMD processors you can use and what speeds are compatible with the motherboard?
