Has anyone heard of this company, and specifically this PSU? I've
read a bunch of reviews online for it, but it's hard to trust those
places. The 550W is probably overkill for my system(is that bad?) but
I wanted to invest in a PSU that I could use when I updated my system
again in a few years. I'm comparing it with the Enermax 465P-VE. I
know the wattage difference between the two is huge, but I found a
good deal on the coolmax, and I thought it might be worth it.

    My system is:
    Abit NF7-S
2700+ (will overclock once I get new PSU)
    1gb Kingston DDR 3200
    Maxtor 80gb HD
    LiteOn 52X CDRW
    Samsung DVD/CDR
    Zip250
    Floppy
    MSI Ti4200
    2 icute casefans
    Firewire/USB 2.0 card

    Thanks!

If you already have the Enermax 465P-VE I'd stick with it. As for 550watts,
I doubt that you'll ever need this.

I don't yet have the Enermax. It is between the enermax and the
coolmax that I am deciding. I might be able to get the coolmax for
cheaper, but if it is poor quality, then it would not be worth it.

For choice I'd go for the Enermax. It is a well known manufacturer with a
good reputation. I've never seen a bad review of te 465P-VE. They have
stable voltages and are very quiet. Good luck with whatever you choose.
