    Hello,

    I have a PT880 Neo LSR mainboard.
I've tried connecting my case front panel audio connectors (5 separate
wires) to the front header JAUD1. When i do this, the back panel audio
    doesnt work.
I put in my creative 24-bit sound card and did the above again. Same
    issues.
I got a front panel Soyo Card reader. It has a 10-pin connector that
I plugged into JAUD1. Now back panel audio works. Front doesnt work.
I've checked and double-checked the connections. They're fine.
Any idea why only one or the other (front/back) audio works?
    Any fix?

    thanks,
    -SJ

I just did some research and apparently the audio connector standard of
my PT880 board is exactly the same as the layout of the cable standard
of the Soyo card reader connector.
    Why doesnt it work then?!
    *Dies from frustration* :)

I do not know for sure, but sometimes mb manufacturers limit
connections to one. Certainly when you add a sound card, the on board
    audio should drop out.
Why would you think that a smart card reader should be connected to an
audio circuit? Just because the connector fits doesn't mean the
signals from the reader can be used by the audio. I'm surprised you
    didn't blow something.

I think he talking about one of the multi-function panels that has card
reader slots, usb ports and audio jacks.

Yes, thats what I was talking about.
Still no go. :( Think I'll have to return the cardreader panel. *sulks*
