Question about hidden partition and Dell PC Restore

I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop. It took me a while to
realize why my 100 GB hard drive was only reading as 88 GB, but I think I
have figured that out, now that I realize that Dell creates a hidden
partition in the hard drive to use with Dell PC Restore.

My question is this - I uninstalled the copy of Symantec Ghost that came
with the computer, as it stated it was a trial version. When I hit Ctrl-F11
at startup, however, to access the Dell PC Restore program, what it seems to
be is a Dell-branded version of Symantec Ghost, still with a separate hard
drive partition (when I uninstalled Ghost from the main desktop, I also got
rid of the other partition it created). So would I still be able to use the
Dell PC Restore utility if necessary, even without the copy of Ghost on the
desktop? I think I should be able to, since it still comes up at Ctrl-F11,
but for obvious reasons I don't want to test this. Thanks for any help!

Sure. The two things are unrelated.
