Quick question: does the BIOS detect harddrive (SATA II) when u havent installed...

    Hey
    Does the BIOS detect harddrive (SATA II) when u havent installed the drivers ?
    cuz mine doesnt and i cant get windows to work.... have i done something wrong in BIOS or could it even be something wrong with my harddrive ? feels like ive been trying everything...

    EDIT: i got a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 motherboard btw.... could anyone be so kind to tell me everything i should change in BIOS to get my SATA II disk to work ?
