R52 Hard Drive

A client recently bought a larger hard drive for his R52 1850 ThinkPad and
asked me to install it. I ran into the POST warning message 2010 problem
    described in
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-60169
(BIOS and ECC updates didn't help and the drive is not one of the ones with
suitable upgradable firmware. It's jut not usable.)

I want to get him a Seagate ST9120821A (120GB 5400RPM) drive that is listed
under "Drives that work out of the box" in
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problem_with_non-ThinkPad_hard_disks#Disable_the_messageI'dlike further confirmation if possible that this drive will work.If anyonehas tried this combination or can advise re. any other sources ofinformationre. compatible drives, would appreciate the info.Thanks.

Can't vouch for that drive, but the WD1200VE works like a dream (apart
from the annoying 2010 beep message which I'm starting to think is
nothing more than a "you must buy drives at 70% markup from us"
    technique).
