Reader 2.0 UPDATED

  1. Reader 2.0 UPDATED

Security update, some Windows Mobile Pocket PC 2003 enhancements and
other misc. changes. No noticeable change in Desktop and Tablet PC
ver. But an update, hope bugfix roll-up. Wonder if it fixes the Reader
1.0 (Overdrive) compile issues. Heard it supposedly fixes the memory
leak bug per lottsa Image-heavy eBooks. Not going over that well in
Windows Mobile Pocket PC 2003 per no XIP, and still slow on PDA, but
ok on Desktop/Tablet PC. But it was meant for a Tablet anyways... :)

  3. On the heels of that news, a Summer Promotional kick that offers 60
free eBooks, not too shaby. :)

    ------------

"The time-honored tradition of bringing a few bestsellers along for
summer vacation reading takes on a digital tone with today's
announcement by Microsoft Corp. of 60 best-selling eBooks available

a wide cross-section of authors and books from a variety of
publishers, such as "A Short History of Nearly Everything," by Bill
Bryson; "The Joy Luck Club," by Amy Tan; "Fear Itself," by Walter
Mosley; and "Beach Music," by Pat Conroy." (Source: Microsoft Press
