A minor but persistent annoyance in 10.2.6: The "Recent Items" submenu
seems to always include items that I haven't used for weeks, and exclude
others I've used in past days. I can't find any folder of aliases a la
OS9 to verify the actual dates, but I know it's not always bumping off
    the oldest items first.

    (1) Clear it and start over.

    (2) If you want to see recent items in (backwards) order of usage, try
    Workstrip. m.

Are you using Fruit Menu? FM's Recent Items menu seems broken to me.

No, just OS X as installed.
