Recently got an Ultra 30 Workstation

So, as the title says, i recently got a Sun Microsystems Ultra 30 Workstation.
But i'm having some problems with it...well, my first and biggest problem is the graphic card which requires a 13w3 adapter to work with a regular monitor. Unfortunately, the 13w3 adapter is impossible to find in my country, so i had an idea...i decided to try using a PCI video card. It slides in the slot perfectly but unfortunately the monitor isnt receiving a signal. So my question is, can the Ultra 30 even work with non-sun hardware? or should i try finding the adapter in another country(which is just gonna be a pain)?
