Does anyone know if programs on the Macintosh like Keynote and Pages
provide for the same kind of unsaved file recovery that MS Office on
    the PC does?

  2. Oddly it is present in the current version of TextEdit. When relaunched
it even automatically reopens the last backup it made and presents it as
    an unsaved document.
