quick (maybe not so quick) question. when i remove the panel where the memory is, i can see the rear of the cdr drive. it appears there is one screw holding in the drive which i can access directly from the bottom of the machine without taking the computer apart. i have little experience workng on laptops. If i remove this screw, can i expect the drive to basically slide out without removing things like the keyboard or top cover? i understand i probably need to install the caddy that is currently on the drive onto the new drive i purchase... will the caddy also slide out? is there a cable attached from the motherboard to the drive, or is the drive plugged directly into the motherboard? i see in the device manager the drive is a slim drive, other than that... how do i determine which models will and will not fit (other than the obvious... physical dimension). Are all the connectors for internal dvd slim laptop drives the same?
Thanks for your input.
