    The beeps of course refer to the video card or its RAM being faulty.
    The only problem is that I have tried several different cards. AGP, PCI
    and, sigh, ISA.

    I have used basic principles for this type of problem and have moved RAM
    modules and changed types as well as fitting only one peripheral card;
    the video! I have removed 1 CPU so the machine is in a really basic,
    stripped down condition. The jumpers appear to be in all the correct
    places and I have even, gulp, RTFM! Nada, zip, just beeps. Have I
    missed anything? Is the board toast?

    The board was given to me, with both 333 CPU's, as a working freebie but
    I am loath to Frisbee it if I have overlooked anything obvious!

    Any ideas, please, thanks.
