same chipset, different memory on sli boards?

    Nvidia site could not clear this question up for me.

    I goofed by purchasing the 7600GS board with 512mb [this one made by Asus].
    Learned later it has slower memory than the 256mb model...not good.

    Now to complete my sli combo, I'd rather go with the 7600GS 256mb
    board...but mixing and matching boards won't work with sli? But does this
    just apply to the chipset?

    Could I combine the 256mb and 512mb boards that are both Asus 7600GS
    chipsets?
