Samsung Q1 UMPC TIP issues

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is having problems with the TIP on a Samsung Q1
    UMPC.

The problem I'm seeing is with the tablet input panel in keyboard and
    character mode.

In keyboard mode if I hit the left shift key for example, it seems to lock
and all letters will be capitalized. Hitting shift again does not set it to
lowercase (caps lock remains off). Hitting the right shift key will
sometime unlock it and allow lowercase. Sometimes the keyboard will have
capitalized letters but the input will be lowercase.

On the character recognizer if I input a character it will not try to
recognize it until I move to the next slot. I do not get the little drop
down arrow to select from the possible choices, i.e. 0 when it recognizes o
etc... Those arrows do not appear when the cursor hovers like it should.

Any suggestions on how I might go about fixing the TIP?

    Thank you

Yes, there have been other reports. I've sent requests in to verify the
issues, and will post when I hear something official.

The Samsung Q1 does not include an HID-compliant driver for the digitizer
out of the box. As best I can determine, apparently Samsung is aware of the
problem with their units (lacking the specific required driver for the
proper functionality) and it is believed they are presently working on a
driver for release to their Q1 purchasers. Date of such a release could not
be confirmed. If there are any additional inquiries on this specific issue
with the Q1, I would suggest directly contacting Samsung support.
