SATA Compatible/Enhanced

    What is the difference between Compatible and Enhanced mode regarding SATA prots?

    When I connect my devices using enhanced mode my BIOS hangs during auto-detect.

    When I connect my devices using compatible mode my devices are detected fine, but only 2 out of my 4 ports are displayed in my BIOS.

    What could the problem be?
