    HI,

quick question - got hold of a secondhand tc1000 tablet pc.

Anyway, while working on it I removed a few screws only to note they
(the screws) had some sort of blue substance on the threads - could
that just be loctite or might it be some sort of corrosion?

Is it common for loctite to be used with laptops and PCs? I always
thought it was for much heavier duty jobs...

anyone in the latop building business!?

Yes, it's very common for manufacturers to apply loctite to screw threads.

Loctite comes in differing formulations for use on everything from small
    electronic parts to earthmovers.

    Regards,
