Serial Console for IBM x336 DB9 Port Settings ?

Discussion in 'Intel' started by Joe Thykattil, Sep 29, 2004.

  1. Trying out an eval IBM x336 Intel 1U server for a possible Linux
    platform.

The system has a DB9 serial port on the back. How can this port be
    used for a serial console?

What are the BAUD, number of bits, stop, and parity settings for use as
    a console?

    Thanks,

    Joe Thykattil
