I followed the suggestion as above but the run command resulted in a pop up that said "no packages available for uninstall"
I am also on an 98SE system. It seems that this error occurred when I put this drive on a 3GHz Intel system. It was originally on a 750 MHz Athlon ASUS system. It back on the ASUS. I had the yellow exclamation mark on the primary and secondary ide controller. I couldn't access my CDROM although the hard drives were ok. I reinstalled the ASUS K7V PCI IDE drivers and the exclamation marks went away and my CDROM is now recognized. My floppy continues not to work. It may be because its an old floppy. Can't format or read.
Another thing is that I can not seem to uninstall Intel Application Accelerator.
