I recently purchased an Asus Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE mb. This board arrived with a CPU socket marked "SP6" and not the "sTR5" designation I was expecting based on the text description on the Asus website. The markings on the mb package clearly state "sTR5" in several places, yet there is a photo on the package which shows a mb with an "SP6" marking on the socket. I have looked at mbs from other manufacturers stating "sTR5" socket and all of these show a socket marked "SP6" in the photos of the mb. It is my understanding that the SP6 socket is not compatible with the sTR5 socket, having the same number of pins, but with a different pin-out. I'd like to clarify what is going on here before risking a high dollar CPU on this mb. Guidance appreciated. RB
