I own a couple Lattitude Laptops and one of them has a battery among those
identified for recall. I have an older Lattitude with a spare battery of the
identical dimensions that is not identified for recall. I'd like to use the
spare from my older Lattitude while waiting for the recall replacement to be
delivered. Dell suggests it could be up to 75 days. But I noticed that
while both batteries are Rated at 11.1V, the recall battery is 4700mAH
Capacity 53WH while the spare battery is 4320mAH Capacity 48WH. Can I safely
use my spare battery in this laptop while I wait for the replacement on my
recall battery? Are these just measures of relative life of a charge? I am
sending this Lattitude off to college with my daughter next week, and I'd
rather give a battery not subject to recall.

Thanks, maybe I am being paranoid, but I don't want to mismatch my battery
    and my charger,

    Jere

if it is the same fit yes but the time on battery will be less because it
    has less capacity
