Sync iTunes, iPod but no songs on iPod

    I installed iTunes on a Windows XP system. I was able to rip CDs,
    and create playlist, etc. The songs and playlists appeared to be
    sent/sync'd to the iPod(transfer status). When viewing the contents
    of the iPod via
    iTunes, everything is there. However, when I look on the iPod itself,
    no songs/playlists, etc. appear. I've tried resetting and
    reloading the iPod, but nothing seems to help.

    I'm sorry, I was not very clear.

    The songs do not appear on the iPod. So, on the iPod, when I try to
    view songs, artists, etc. there is nothing. Even my playlists do not
    show up (nor the songs). there is no way to select a song to listen to.

    sorry for the confusion.
