Temporary Freeze while booting

Hi, I sent an email to the mobo mfr, TYAN , but I don't think they can
    be bothered.

When I boot up and still in BIOS, the computer freezes at WAIT for 40
seconds and then continues on OKAY!! . If I click DEL, it shows that
it is looking for the Bios setup, freezes for 40 secinds and then goes
into Bios Settings. And from there, all is fine.

I've gotten to the point that when I boot my system, I leave for about
5 minutes and come back. Can't stand staring at a frozen computer.

    Any clues?? Please?

Hope Tyan answers, I'm going nuts!

Mike . Change .COM to .NET if reponding via email.

if you updated lately, if you havent then that could fix your problem,
if you have then that could be your problem.
