Hello all,
I do also have the boot problem with the Sirens tone :-(( Mostly when the comp makes a cold start. I have read many options overhere, and it makes me not really happy at all.
My system : Pentium 4 1,7 Ghz / 512 MbRam / 2 Maxtors HD 40 gb, 60 Gb / 50x speed Cdrom / Toshiba DVD-rom/ Pinnacle TV card / Pinnacle Studio deluxecard / Soundblaster 16 / Ethernetcard 10-100 / Scsi-card / Asus V7700 deluxe Graphics card.
Things i've tried:
Take off all the card insde except the Graphics card
Tried a new power supply,
Tried a new Kooler fan for de proccesor.
Memmory banks replaced.
Bios settings changed, tried different options.
Also looked at capacitors, and other things that where possible. Nothing that's helped me to get off the problem.
It's hard to find, because it's not doing it al the time, sometimes once a week, sometimes twice a day :-(( I also have send a mail to abit, but no reaction at this moment, so i hope it will comes
After reading all the options, in this newsgroup, what did the most of you people do, to ge off the problem??
Hope that someone does have an option for me, that i have not tried yet?
Thanks anyway for all,
Gr. Ren
