I just downloaded and installed the most recent windows updates for my
IBM Thinkpad T21. I am running XP Pro and now the lcd shuts off just
before the user account log in screen. I need this laptop for work so
help as soon as possible would be much appreciated.

    Thank You,

    Ryan

Posting your message on a MS Newsgroup would certainly be helpful.

Have you tried switching the display on with Fn+F7?

  4. Boot into safe mode and uninstall the Power Driver.
Then go to the IBM site and install the proper driver,
