Thinkpad screen luminosity too weak under battery operation

Discussion in 'IBM Thinkpad' started by Jean-Marie Rayroux, Jan 30, 2005.

  1. I have a Thinkpad X24 with Windows XP pro. The screen luminosity resp. the
power management setting having been changed in order to save battery power,
the screen luminosity under battery power regime is now too low, lower
than under normal power operation. Could someone please tell me how to
proceed to increase the battery operation luminosity back to the same level
as under sector power operating mode?
Your help will be much appreciated.

When starting the computer select Bios and then select the higher power
option for the screen. It allows the screen brightness to be the same with
battery operation as AC. Of course, the time of operating from a battery
will be less with the brighter screen.
