Hey all,

Just as an observation, I would like to point out that this newsgroup is a pretty swell place. I don't see much flaming rants and raves and people in general are pretty helpful. And I have to admit that the tech support given out here is a major reason why I have stayed with ABIT mobos(also they work well).

The only names of regulars that I can remember are TomG, Richie *Rich* Hopkins and the Homie.

TomG: I kinda have this image of him being very like *Data* from Star-Trek and don't be fooled by his FTP site, that's not hosted on a machine, that's a direct link into his android brain :P

Richard Hopkins: Hehe this guy is pretty funny, kinda reminds me of an exasperated grey haired University lecturer, who would lob the black board wiper at you if you fail to understand FULLY the meaning of his teachings! . Obviously provides a valuable service here but I wonder if he is in a bad mood allot?

Homie: I didn't have allot of dealings with this *Being* I kinda get the feeling he is responsible for instigating 70% of all *Thread-Drifts* i.e:
you will be struggling to absorb the finer points of Cas latency across several threads only to have the thread drift into some talk about sheep? which completely passes over the top of my head!!!!. Anyone care to enlighten me, what is *The Homie* :P I don't encounter him much but generally feel his wake! should I be scared? is it safe!

Oh well that about wraps up Sundays observation session, to the rest of you keep up the good work, and try not to let yourself slip when *provoked*, a newsgroup free of flames and sheep's? is a newsgroup for learning, , ha-ha,

Well, if this doesn't start a flame war / sheep discussion, I don't know what will.

On/Off poster/lurker here just for the past three years. .

With Homie you are generally in good shape unless you mess with his flock and he sees you. All the sheep ranchers around here are somewhat possessive in that regard.

Yea, Well Up Yours Buddy!

Sorry, just had to do it.
Welcome to the group, just don't drop the soap around Homie (Unless you're into that, and in that case, use powdered soap, it takes longer to pick up)

But, but, but... he missed the boat completely characterizing you as "Data".... unless it was a severely decrepit Data rotting on the vine:

(You'll *NEVER* live it down!)

By the way... I'll be around this newsgroup a lot more often. I'm coming back on topic (so to speak). I'll be running an Abit NF7 board with an Athlon XP 2700+ processor and a gig of PC2700 memory.

The need to upgrade bug bit again (at long last) and, of course, there was a good price available for the combo.

Dad will be inheriting the MSI K7N420 Pro board with the XP 1800+ processor (and won't have any reason to lurk here any longer... and telling me that we're all a bunch of sick-o's every time I talk to him on the phone).

You broke out of your bondage early today. Either congratulations are in order or the wife is slipping up in her knot tying skills. In any event, it's good to see you around before dark.

Are you somehow implying that you are a sicko solely on the basis that you post to this NG? That is quite a stretch there... "Jef Norton" wrote:

actually, being the androgynous type, my "member" is equally bionic in strength and duration. I need no prosthesis or assistance but thank you kindly for the offer.

good luck with the new board and processor. thanks for posting the pic so often as it warms my heart to have the opportunity to see the object of my affections so often. it's good to see the wife too.

I am truly surprised that Dad had to learn what type of sicko you are from hanging in this newsgroup but it just goes to show how one's eyes can be blinded to the obvious as colored by the hue of familial bonds.

the fact that he posts to this group only cements the obvious.
