    Hello

How many times more cycles does it take to use floating point calculations
for ADD or MULTIPLY instead of using IQ-math library? Is it 3 times more och
    more?

The DSP is an TI TMS320F2812.

I suspect the data-sheet will answer your query.

about 100 cycles for a emulated float multiple/add (ANSI C IEEE float)
6 -21 cycles with IQ-math, depending if you want rounding and/or
    saturation
